TAU GAMMA PHI INITIATES CLEANUP DRIVE 

AS THE SCHOOL YEAR 2021-2022 STARTS

         MOALBOAL, Cebu- The TAU GAMMA PHI of Toledo volunteers on a cleanup drive at Ibo Elementary School last Sunday, September 12, 2021.

           As the school year 2021-2022 launches its official opening date, a group of fifteen individuals from Barangay Ibo, Toledo City, Cebu helps on cleaning their school as it start its school year.

       “Para maka tabang sa mga maistra ug sa mga istudyanti nga malimpyo ang tunghaan sa elementarya pinaagi sa among gamay tabang ma kwaan ang gamay mga hugaw ug sagbot sa palibot,” Junryck Normandia, volunteer and member of TAU GAMMA PHI, stated in an interview online.

        (To help teachers and students keep the elementary school clean with our little help we can get rid of the little dirt and trashes around.)   

         Junryck Normandia, told Cebua-Knows that most of them are from Barangay Ibo but there are few who take part to join from Barangay Luray and Sangi. Two policemen also joined them.

         With their brooms and bolos, they manage to clean the school ground and collect garbage with their dustpans and trash can.

          The group made sure that they wear their facemask and sanitize alcohol.

        When asked if they have children attending the school, Normandia said that they don’t have, but they thought of the children attending the school besides the situation of COVID is difficult.

       The group participates for cleaning their school every year in Ibo Elementary School, but has done numerous activity and not just cleanup drive.
