Mr. and Ms. CAS 2021 pageant of CNU pushes through online


MOALBOAL, Cebu- Cebu Normal University- Council of Liberal Arts and Sciences Students announced that it will push through its first virtual edition of Mr. and Ms. CAS 2021.

 “A major event of the Council of Liberal Arts and Sciences Students is Mr. and Ms. CAS. This year, we're trying to keep the decency and fun of the pageant even though we are in a virtual setting, we prepared a lot to make this pageant more memorable and successful,” Honorable Agape Apuhin, Class SSC Governor and the committee chairman, said in a statement sent via online.

 “As of last night, we have 9 candidates who registered in our Google Form coming from the different degree programs and the application period of the pageant will officially end on September 5, 2021 at exactly 11:59 p.m.”

The struggle in pulling off this event is the most difficult in any event that the council has set in terms of preparations, he said.

The candidates are anticipated to do their shoots at their homes for the production number and runway, whereas, the Q and A will be conducted virtually.

Mr. Apuhin promptly added that as for the segments they will have their production number, run way, evening gown and formal wear, advocacy speech and of course Q & A.

The council is also expecting 11 participants from all degree programs of the department.

Despite the fact that the event will be held digitally, but the organization will give prizes to the winners as well as plaque. 

Judges who are interested in the field and has the contest background is foreseen in the show.

The virtual staff has now finalized the official symbol of the show as well as the over-all subject for this year's Mr. and Ms. CAS. A technical team has also teamed up in preparation for the pageant that will set on September 24, 2021 at exactly 7:000 p. m.

The ruling Mr. CAS, Mr. Kim Matthew Abapo and Ms. CAS, Miss. Alekka Kwensley Cabalhug will crown their successor.

A product of Cebu Normal University College of Arts and Sciences Ms. Phoebe Godinez who won MS. CAS 2018 and Ms. CNU 2018 has brought pride to the regional and national level of PASUC (Philippine Association of Universities and State Colleges) in 2018 where she bagged the crown.
