MOALBOAL, Cebu- Cebu Normal University- Council of Liberal Arts and Sciences Students announced that it will push through its first virtual edition of Mr. and Ms. CAS 2021.  “A major event of the Council of Liberal Arts and Sciences Students is Mr. and Ms. CAS. This year, we're trying to keep the decency and fun of the pageant even though we are in a virtual setting, we prepared a lot to make this pageant more memorable and successful,” Honorable Agape Apuhin, Class SSC Governor and the committee chairman, said in a statement sent via online.  “As of last night, we have 9 candidates who registered in our Google Form coming from the different degree programs and the application period of the pageant will officially end on September 5, 2021 at exactly 11:59 p.m.” The struggle in pulling off this event is the most difficult in any event that the council has set in terms of preparations, he said.   What are your Christmas wishes? Hooooray, Philippines. It's the first day of September. Who would've thought that it has been the second time around since we say hello to BER months during a pandemic. Today, we welcome BER months: September, October, November, and finally the most anticipated time of the year, December. We hope that you will be merrier as you count on the days until Christmas. Oh, please do include this on your Christmas wish, "A COVID-FREE PHILIPPINES."

 What is a true hero? According to Christopher Reeve, "A true hero is an ordinary individual  who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." Indeed, not all heroes wear capes. They are wearing the invisible cape of valour. Most of the time, they are an ordinary abiding citizens who serve us whole-heartedly. With that being said, they should be recognized. They are the illustrious warriors, not just in these rough times, but of all those times that these people tried to have the  great resilience to conquer the hurdle.  A hero is somebody who takes a step across the line. A lovely and warmest salute to these heroes.  Happy National Heroes' Day!
